Most people ask us the same thing first: how much? It is a fair question, and the honest answer has two parts. There is what you pay once, to have the site designed and built, and what you pay every year, to keep it online with your own domain and email.
What you pay once
Our websites come in three packages. Each one includes design, building, search basics and a dashboard you can use to change the words and pictures yourself.
What comes back every year
The first year of hosting and five mailboxes are included with every package. After that, they renew at the base prices:
- Hosting from 70,000 RWF a year on shared hosting
- Your domain 15,000 RWF a year for .rw; about 22,500 RWF for .com
- SSL certificate 9,000 RWF a year, included with our hosting
- Extra mailboxes 17,000 RWF each, a year
A cheap site that nobody can update costs more in the end than a good one your team looks after.
Where the money goes
Most of the work is not code. It is agreeing what each page must do, writing words people will read on a phone, and choosing pictures that look like your business, not a stock library. The build comes after, and it is quicker because of all that.
Pro and Full-Scale also include maintenance, three months and a full year: updates, fixes, new mailboxes and help whenever something needs to change. On its own, maintenance is 236,000 RWF a quarter (944,000 RWF a year), VAT included.
So, how much?
For most small businesses in Kigali, Standard is enough to start: 400,000 RWF once, and from 85,000 RWF a year after the first, for hosting and a .rw domain. When you need payments or more pages, you move up without starting over.
